What electric motor mobility scooter is right for me to use indoors and outdoors?
For indoor use: the Superlights 3, Fold n Drive Caddy, Freedom, Safari LTD, Solo LTD, Spirit, and Solo Heavy Duty scooter. For outdoor use: all the Breeze units, the Sportster units, the Porter which goes 8mph. The Stand N Ride goes upto 15 mph, and the X - Treme XM-3000 is able to reach speeds of 40 plus mph, and a Max range of 50 Miles at 25mph cruising speed which is one of the longest and faster electric scooters on the market today.
Will I be able to take my scooter apart and put it in the trunk of a car?
Yes, all of the above mentioned indoor scooters disassembles in less than a minute, with the Freedom heaviest piece weighing only 29 lbs, and the Solo Heavy Duty heaviest piece weighing 43 lbs making it easy to put in trunk of car, van, SUV, or truck.
Can I take my electric mobility scooter with me on a trip for example on a jet or cruise, train ride?
Yes all the indoor units mention above can be easily disassemled in less than a minute, and all come with sealed lead or gel pack battery that are accepted by almost all airlines, cruiselines, and railways.
Can I over charge my scooter batteries?
NO. All scooter comes with charger that stops charging when fully charged.
How long will my battery last?
Several things comes into play on the life of the battery, the use and charging practices is key. Lets say for example that your battery can be charge 175 times in its life, so if you charge it everytime it goes down to lets say for example 75% or every two days, that would means that your battery would last about 350 days. Important then, is not to let your battery go down below 20% charge, and charge it fully. A battery that is at 20% charge should be charged to it full charge about 12 hours of charging or overnight. A battery at 50% does not need 12 hours of charging, it would take less time about 4 to 8 hours to be fully charge for your longer trip. It is not recommended to leave your charger connected to the battery for a long period of time after fully charged.
What if the electric motor of my unit gets overheated?
Some units will automatically go into slow mode indicating overheating, and other unit will turn sluggish or shut down. Always stop and let your unit cool off for 1 hour, and check to see if there is any reason for overheating.
What if my electric mobility scooter get soaking wet?
Dry all outter surfaces with a dry cloth and leave sit in a dry area for at least 12 to24 hours to dry completely out the electric motor befor trying to drive it again. Driving it befor completely dryed out could cause electric motor and components to short out causing extensive damage to scooter.
EV: stands for Electric Vehicle powered by a electric motor

A interesting article on electric motor vehicles, and how they are making their presence felt at amateur drag races across the country, challinging gas powered cars and motorcycles
Straddling a 619 pound motorcycle, Scotty Pollacheck tucks in his knees and lowers his head as he waits for the green light. When he revs the engine there's no roar. The bike moves so fast that with in seconds all that's visible is a faint red taillight melting in the distance.
Pollacheck crosses the quarter mile marker doing 156 mph: he's traveled 1320 feet in 8.22 seconds, faster than any of the gas powered cars, truck or motorcycles that have raced in the drag sprints on this week end at Portland International Raceway
It's particularly impressive given Pollacheck is riding a vehicle that uses no gasoline and is powered entirely by lithium-ion batteries
